The 2009 Texas Pinball Festival

March 11, 2009

(Thanks to Jonathan Leung for the tip)

We’ve got another coin-op machine event to mention here, this time revolving around pinball. The Texas Pinball Festival will take place on March 13th-15th in Grapevine, TX. The event sounds like it will offer quite a bit of fun for players to experience, with about 195 pinball machines to experience (all on on freeplay) , tournaments, door prizes, a raffle for a full-sized pinball game and vendors from the area who will be selling various parts and supplies for your gameroom or machine.  They have over 15,000 sq. ft. set aside for the whole thing so I imagine that it will be quite a fun event to go to and it would be something great to take the kids to as well (give them a taste of pinball in case they haven’t really played it before). In case you want to find out more, here’s a video about the event and the website link is below.

Do you live in Texas and love pinball? Then you’ll be happy to know that the 2008 Texas Pinball Festival is taking place this weekend on the 14th-16th in Grapevine, TX. Over 135 pins will be at the show, from new to vintage games all set to free play. On top of that they will be for sale so if you find something that you would like to add to your collection then this may be the place to find it. In addition to showcasing these pins, there will be plenty of tournaments (sponsored by the International Flipper Pinball Association) taking places where players can demonstrate their skills against each other and win prizes.
