The DIY Mini-Daytona USA cabinet

Newsfeed 860 via

Today the wonderful world of DIY projects gives us a mini-cabinet based upon a standup Daytona USA cabinet. By running an emulator, the creator of this cabinet can not only play some Daytona USA but also Outrun and some other racers. I can’t say I care for the little wheel, which is a grip taken from an RC remote but where he got the software to recognize that (as well as the made from gate hinges and leaf switches pedals) you have to give him some credit for that. Here’s a video showing the project in all of it’s glory. You can also find out more here at the RetroVicio forums.

Any bets on whether anyone will try such a thing based upon the Sega Racing Classic cabinet?
