Brief video of Sega’s Let’s Go Island UPDATED

I don’t have a lot of time to post at the moment but figured I should get to this now. It’s a video from EAG 2010 of Let’s Go Island by Sega. The framerate of the camera taking this is low which is why there is lag, so that’s not an issue with the game itself; the game looks quite colorful and detailed beyond that.

UPDATE: I have found out that this does in fact use Sega’s RingEdge hardware. Another nail in the coffin for that console rumormill. πŸ˜‰

I loved lets go Jungle and this game looks like it keeps the frantic gun play as LGJ. I wish Sega wold try porting more of their arcade shooters to consoles. Ghost Squad came out awesome for the Wii, as well as house of the dead 2 and 3. I would love to see Rambo and LGJ come to console after they’ve exhausted their run in the arcades. If graphics are an issue, what about the phenomenal Virtua Cop 3? Why not have it on the Wii with the Wii Fit board for the pedal? For me, SEGA has been releasing nothing but hits in the shooting genre.

there are plenty of other games to choose from for the wii and other console and ghost squad did not turn out good much due to the framerate being reduced. I can’t see rambo coming to consoles unless they release it anytime soon due to licence issues. as for VC3 I don’t think it would suite it all that good for the wii as you may trip over or miss where you’re stepping.

I do wonder what arcade companies will do about the Wii – while it seems like a natural fit due to the gun, several 3rd party developers are seeing depressing game sales on the console and it’s underpowered.
