Game Head Big Buck Hunter Pro episode available for download

June 2, 2007

In case you missed it, you can download and watch the video for Game Head where they covered Big Buck Hunter Pro by clicking on the link below. It also shows off a few other new arcade games so this was definently a nice high-profile look at some of today’s hot arcade titles such as Aliens: Extermination and Tokyo Drift but it also goes in depth on several other arcade games. They also discuss the next Big Buck Hunter game, Online which will allow players to create their own hunting parties and compete against each other from anywhere. You owe it to yourself to watch but keep in mind that it is broken into four parts.

Deal or No Deal in action

June 2, 2007

I didn’t expect anyone to really show anything about this game on youtube but here it is, you just have to ignore some of the reflections in the screen (I hate arcades that keep the house lights on). This will definently be a huge redemption game once it reaches more arcades. Overall it works out pretty well but don’t count on winning anything over 200 tickets. Pre-Order King Of Fighters MIA and Dynamite Deka EX

June 2, 2007

Coinopexpress has just listed the next installment of The King of Fighters (Maximum Impact Reg. A) on their website. The release date is 7/31 and it carries a price tag of $2771.93 USD. This does not get you a full cabinet, but the Taito Type X2 board, I/O board, cables and manual that can be installed in an available arcade cabinet. If don’t happen to have $3000  on hand to get this game for yourself, then you’ll either have to bug your local arcade operator to order this and get it in or wait for the inferior PS2 version.

It might also be worthy to note that Sega’s return to the 3D beat ’em up genre, Dynamite Deka EX (also known as Asian Dynamite) will also be released on the same day for the Naomi platform.  It’s considerably cheaper than KOFMIA as it’s for much older hardware although there hasn’t been much hype about this game so it will be hard to say if many operators will be picking this game up or not. Here is a playtest video on youtube (by racketboynick) of Asian Dynamite in action.

OutRun 2 SP Super Deluxe "Officially available" in the US

June 2, 2007

Sega Amusements USA has updated their website with a press release about the new Outrun game, OutRun 2 SPX and has announced that it is in the pre-sale phase which means that distributors should have their hands on the game shortly and then on to big arcades. So far this game has received nothing but rave reviews and here at Arcade Heroes we’ve had a few words and videos to post about it as well. Hopefully an arcade near you will carry the game and if they do, take a friend along as this is certainly another title that will shine with co-op play.

Rhythm Heaven Location Testing and Official Website

June 2, 2007

A short time ago some people got excited about Rhythm Heaven coming to the arcade. The game comes from a GameBoy Advance title of course. We received news that it is currently going through location testing in Japan and it also has an official website up. No news on if this will ever see a release outside of Japan though.
