gamesTM Reviews Afterburner Climax

I love gamesTM, but one thing that annoys me about the magazine is the fact that on the front cover they list the game formats that they cover and arcade is included in this. Trouble is it’s not very often they actually cover any thing arcade related. But hopefully the tides are about to change because in the latest issue they have a full review of Sega’s Afterburner Climax, hooray! Not only that, they also gave it a whooping 8 out of 10. I look forward to seeing more arcade reviews in the future. I appreciate there aren’t as many arcade games as there are console releases, but surely they can spare the old arcade industry a couple of pages now and again.

There are some somewhat rare games that are so expensive that you delay the purchase by years, hoping for the price to come down. The exact opposite are games that, while cheap and relatively common, don’t find their way to your collection simply because they’re obscure: obscure in a way that nobody seems to know anything about them, the flyers and screenshots look weird – and since 90% of everything is crap, you stay away from such games.

FarCry Paradise Lost Pictures & Info

March 7, 2007

Just discovered over at Global VR that they have put FarCry Lost Paradise up on the site. It includes details of the game and some shiny screenshots too. Interestingly they seem to have dropped FarCry from the title. They don’t use the name on the website and the same goes for the cabinet itself. Strange because it’s a pretty big licence to have attached to the game and it would be a shame not to use it.
