“If Jimi were a pinball machine” T-Shirt

September 25, 2009

While we come across arcade-related T-shirts every now and then that are worth talking about, it’s pretty rare that we see a cool pinball t-shirt. This one comes from TeeFury.com and apparently this is only available today (Sept. 25th) and after that, no more will be made. Apparently that’s how the site works (limited edition T-shirts that are available only for 24 hrs.) so at the very least if you grab one today you will have a rare t-shirt that you won’t see very often. The premise of the shirt is “If Jimi were a pinball machine”, that Jimi being the legendary Jimi Hendrix. One nice thing about it is that they are only $9 so it won’t set you back very much to get one.

Arcade booting screens now have a T-Shirt

August 6, 2009

There are plenty of ideas in the arcade arena to fuel ideas for new t-shirts but admittedly I had never thought that retro booting screens would be one of them. Nevertheless, it has 80bootbeen done by video game clothing company LowRez and you can purchase a shirt with a booting screen from 1980, ’81, ’82 and ’87 along with several variations on each screen. The shirts can be had in different sizes and are available for both men and women and go for about $20.

In addition to the booting tees, LowRez also recently unveiled some neat Raiden jackets that would be a good fit for shmup fans.

Pac-Man – The Real Story

[Via Kotaku]

You have to love it when a T-Shirt design turns into a narrative for what really is going on in Pac-Man’s world. Innocent little guy being chased by ghosts in a maze? Scratch that, try a space man overdosing on pills and hallucinating! As it stands, it is a good narrative as to why one should not take drugs in space while running around in futuristic labyrinths.
