Sega’s Summer Open Day

July 9, 2007

sega06.jpg

Sega just held their Summer Open day, showing off a number of interesting arcade titles that will mostly see Japanese releases with a few likely headed overseas. Derby Owner’ssega46.jpg Club 2008 is looking pretty good and football fans will enjoy WCCF 2006-2007. Quest of D is getting a major update with Quest of D Battle Kingdom. I am not terribly familiar with Quest of D, I know it’s an RPG that uses a touch screen driven menu system and it looks like this new version adds VS battle support and updated graphics, probably new maps as well. (check for pictures after the post break)

WCCF '07 World Cup

May 12, 2007

wccf_world_cup.jpg

I covered this a while back, but after just posting about the WCCF 06-07 it reminded me about the tournamnet coming up, so here’s a reminder to those who may not know about this. Sega are holding a WCCF World Cup Tournament next Saturday at the Big Apple in Woking. I think it’s too late to enter as you have to win a regional qualifier. However you can still head down there to spectate, check the WCCF website for ticket info, have a few beers and I should imagine watch the FA Cup Final to boot (no pun intended). I can’t make it myself, but if anyone does head down there and wants to send me some pictures and info on how it went that would be cool. If you have any questions about the day I would head over to the Unofficial WCCF Forum, and the guys there will help you out.

I have no idea if or when this is coming to the UK, but I should imagine it won’t be for a while seeing as we only just received the 05-06 update. Checkout the pictures and the excellently translated info from Dengeki.com….
